These terms apply when you buy a digital toolkit from melstreamhr.ca or engage Melstream HR Inc for advisory work. Buying or using anything here means you accept them.

Melstream HR Inc, a Canadian corporation. Contact: hello@melstreamhr.ca.
The toolkits are digital documents delivered as downloadable files. There is nothing physical, and nothing is shipped. Prices are shown in Canadian dollars and are one-time payments unless stated otherwise. Access to advisory services, audits and calls is arranged separately and confirmed in writing.
Payments are processed by Stripe. Once your payment clears, your download is delivered on the confirmation page and by email. If a file isn't available at that moment, we'll send it to you by email personally, usually within a few hours.
If your download doesn't arrive, write to hello@melstreamhr.ca and we'll sort it out.
Because the toolkits are digital and delivered immediately, all sales are final once the file has been downloaded. If something goes wrong on our end — the wrong file, a file that won't open, a duplicate charge — write to us and we'll fix it or refund it. We'd rather do that than have you stuck with something you can't use.
When you buy a toolkit you get a licence to use it inside your own business, for as many of your own hires and employees as you like, for as long as you like. You may print it, work from it, and adapt its contents for your own company.
You may not resell it, share it, publish it, or distribute it to people outside your business, and you may not repackage it as your own product or as part of a service you sell to others. The copyright stays with Melstream HR Inc.
This is the most important thing on this page, so it isn't buried.
The toolkits contain templates, policies, checklists and guidance built for the Canadian context. They are professional starting points — they are not legal advice, and buying one does not create a solicitor-client relationship.
Employment law varies by province and by industry, and it changes. Before you put any policy, contract clause or termination process into effect in your workplace, have it reviewed by a qualified Canadian employment lawyer or an HR professional who knows your situation. Verify anything time-sensitive — wage rates, entitlements, notice periods — against your provincial Ministry of Labour before you rely on it.
You remain responsible for the decisions you make in your own business. Melstream HR Inc isn't liable for outcomes arising from how you apply the material, and to the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim related to a toolkit is limited to what you paid for it.
Consulting, audits and ongoing advisory are governed by the specific written agreement for that engagement. Where that agreement and these terms disagree, that agreement wins.
Buying a toolkit doesn't sign you up for marketing email. If you're on our list, it's because you asked to be, and every message has an unsubscribe link. See the Privacy Policy for how your information is handled.
We may update these terms. The version that applies to your purchase is the one published on the day you bought. The date at the top shows the current version.
These terms are governed by the laws of Canada and of the province in which Melstream HR Inc operates.
